The Fundamentals and Practical Applications of Sedation Symposium: From Hospital to Dental Office Based Setting
This course will update your knowledge of current developments in Pediatric Sedation Dentistry while also providing continuing education credits. This course is designed to provide a comprehensive review of topics related to the safe and effective delivery of minimal and moderate sedation by inhalation, enteral, and parenteral routes of administration. Recognized leaders and faculty in the field of dental sedation will be leading the course and we will be offering opportunities to gain hands-on experience learning airway techniques to rescue patients from deep sedation, including manikin practice with face masks and ambu bag along with the insertion of nasal and oral airways in a personalized setting with manikins and real equipment. This course offers both didactic lectures and panel discussions. Question and answer panels will provide participants with forums to ask questions and discuss specific issues with course faculty, discuss effective techniques for meaningful communication with patient and parent, and address unusually challenging and complex situations.

Pediatric Dental Sedation Crisis Management: The Didactics
This year we are proud and honored to bring back by popular demand a symposium endorsed by the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists (ASDA). This two part symposium is comprised of a full morning of didactics and the afternoon with six interactive, high-fidelity simulation scenarios. The included hands-on airway workshop is invaluable for refreshing, learning and maintaining airway skills and provides personal one-on-one teaching with expert faculty. This comprehensive symposium of Pediatric Dental Sedation Crisis Management requires registration for both sessions: the morning didactics and afternoon simulation. Alternatively, attendees may choose to register separately for only one of the sessions (morning or afternoon), enabling them the opportunity to cycle back into the weekend workshop Pediatric Dental Sedation Crisis Management: Simulation A unique opportunity to engage in six unique scenarios, inclusive to all areas along the dental sedation continuum. Anesthesia, Pediatric and Dental Faculty with simulation expertise unite to offer hands-on crisis management workshops for the Pediatric Dentist. A small group setting with limited enrollment to maximize participation, engagement and learning. Hands-on Airway Workshop included in registration fee. Participants will spend 40 minutes in each of the six scenarios.
